CSnet International announces an agreement with Radius Oceanic Communications to connect to the POSEIDON System

Melbourne Beach, Florida – January 18, 2013 –CSnet International, Inc. (CSnet) is pleased to announce a Service Level Agreement with Radius Oceanic Communications, Inc. (Radius) to connect CSnet's existing Offshore Communications Backbone (OCB) to the POSEIDON System. As an anchor tenant on POSEIDON, CSnet will be able to provide their scientific and government customers with secure, low-latency broadband oceanographic, seismic, and metocean data. Radius' POSEIDON is a high capacity undersea cable system that will provide advanced telecommunications facilities to the offshore oil and gas industry in the Eastern Mediterranean region.

The Offshore Communications Backbone is a modular seafloor communications network that is deployed in 2,000 meter water depths, and is directly connected to the Internet. Clients can provide and control their own sensors and data outputs, or CSnet can provide a suite of sensors from the surface to the seafloor with data directly forwarded to the client’s onshore facilities.

The POSEIDON system will extend for some 800 km from two shore landings in Cyprus, with the OCB creating a self-healing ring that borders the Cypriot EEZ, enveloping the offshore oil and gas lease blocks established for development by the Republic of Cyprus. Through the POSEIDON system, Radius will offer managed broadband services on a subscriber basis to offshore exploration, production and support facilities in the Eastern Mediterranean.

“CSnet is extremely pleased to have reached agreement with Radius for this new and important expansion of OCB capabilities,” said Leonard Whitlock, General Manager for CSnet International. “POSEIDON will enable CSnet to provide near-real time data to our customers in the Mediterranean region. Our partnership with Radius will enable us to provide a robust, and reliable communication data path for our customers.”

Radius' President, Jim Byous, stated that "we are pleased to reach this crucial agreement with CSnet that will allow the POSEIDON to be installed earlier than planned. We believe that POSEIDON will provide critical infrastructure for the scientific and offshore industries for decades to come as the Eastern Mediterranean deep water developments mature".
